Job Description:
Our client is seeking a commercially-minded and intuitive delegate sales executive with at least 6 months to 2 years experience in conference delegate sales and ideally with at least 6-12 months’ experience in the energy sector to step into a new role within our client’s successful and growing Events team,
You will be operating within a business that produces some of the energy industry’s largest and most respected events. You will be passionate, dedicated, and knowledgeable about selling smart, profitable, and industry-leading conferences and have proven and comprehensive experience of applying efficient and effective processes to sell your own successful conference portfolio. Specific knowledge of the oil & gas industry would be of distinct advantage, although experience other energy sector areas will be considered.
You will be responsible for the execution of B2B delegate sales campaigns for your assigned events, so the ideal candidate will be both analytical and creative and have the ability to successfully deliver against multiple projects throughout the year – efficiently and effectively following a plan to meet targets and ensure a great customer experience. You are an ambitious yet sociable individual who wants to grow in a role alongside an energetic, entrepreneurial, and vibrant team within a major international publishing PLC.
The Delegate Sales Executive role will report to the Head of Sales and be responsible for selling a portfolio of 5-6 global conferences around specific themes within the gas industry. You will be assigned to lead on particular event projects working in concert with a small team of other delegate sales professionals and with the marketing team throughout the year to ensure that you are effectively targeting clients, following up on marketing campaigns, and achieving optimum attendance results for the conference.
